In 2011, the team at St Stephen's achieved:
- 36% less energy use in common parts than 2009. Over the last two years, energy reductions hav esaved over 1.1 million kWh of electricity, cutting CO2 emissions by 675 tonnes.
- 75% less common parts water use than 2009, largely thanks to fixing a major leak. Over the last two years, this has saved 35 million litres of water.
- 70% recycling, up from 60% in 2009. Over the last three years, 1,100 tonnes have been diverted from landfill through recycling.
The team has consistently increased the recyling rate year on year and, since August 2011, has sent zero waste to landfill.
In addition the scheme is now registered as a "Green Achiever" Scheme
